Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are app-owned content maintained by Solarly LLC. They govern your access to and use of the Solarly website and service. By using Solarly, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The Solarly service

Solarly provides a compliance monitoring and alerting service for solar installers, designers, and project managers in Texas. We aggregate and summarize public-source information from permitting authorities, utilities, and fire marshal offices to help you spot changes that may affect your projects.

2. Not legal or engineering advice

Solarly is a tool to surface information quickly. It is not a substitute for legal, engineering, or regulatory advice, and it does not replace direct review of the underlying source documents. Always verify requirements with the relevant authority before submitting designs or permits.

3. Accounts and pilot access

During the pilot phase, access may be limited and offered by invitation or waitlist. You agree to provide accurate information when signing up and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You may use Solarly only for lawful business purposes. You may not use the service to scrape, overload, or interfere with our infrastructure, resell access without authorization, or use the data for unlawful, deceptive, or harassing activities.

5. Data and intellectual property

Solarly owns the software, designs, and branding of the service. You retain ownership of the data you bring into Solarly, and you grant us a limited license to use it solely to provide and improve the service. Public-source data aggregated by Solarly remains subject to the terms and accuracy of the original sources.

6. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Solarly reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, especially during the pilot period. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Solarly LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on alerts or data shown in Solarly. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you used a free or pilot tier.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. Upon termination, your access to the service will end, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our data retention practices.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Harris County, Texas.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of Solarly after changes means you accept the revised terms.
